We originally set out to try and update this blog once a month, but we also quickly figured out during busy times this can also be a difficult task. So lets just say we will update this as often as possible.

To begin with we would like to highlight a couple of events we had in the last couple months. The first was a circus themed event held by HP to introduce their new product line to some key clients. We were ask to send both photographers and videographers to cover the event, which our crew found to be a lot of fun. They had some really cool toys to play with and gave everyone something to look forward to.

Second event we would like to highlight was a very recent one which once again required both our services. Yes we’re talking about the recent Afro Moses gig which Ebb N Flo supported. Please check out the albums below.

Some of you might remember the promo clip we did a while back for Ebb N Flo’s track “Bounce” (featured below), well we are happy to announce that we are in pre productions stages of the official video so stay tuned as this is sure to bring some good vibes.

Moving along to tours. We were fortunate enough to be asked along to cover Bliss N Eso’s most recent sell out “Running On Air” tour as the official SteadyCam operators and to help out with the filming of their yet to be released live DVD & launch of Bliss N Eso TV. This tour spanned over 3 months (May – July) breaking some attendance records and setting benchmarks along the way.

The tour was also supported by Las Vegas MC Big B and Sydney’s own Horrorshow (please check out albums below by clicking on the images).

Whilst on tour in Mount Gambier we also filmed Eso’s “Rapper Tag” which is a viral cypher between MC’s around Australia, where one MC records a freestyle tagging another MC at the end of it and uploading it to the web for everyone to see. This was a interesting attempt as it was taken mid show, which meant we only had one take to get it right. The usual trend has been MC’s doing it in their own time and in such places like studios so that if they got it wrong they could stop and start over. After much discussion we decided that we wanted to push this to another level and were confident of our abilities to deliver. The video got over 40, 000 views in the first 3 days which is a achievement on its own. Please check out the video below.

Last month we also filmed Mind Over Matter’s latest video clip “Off The Chain” and are now just waiting on the official release date. “Off The Chain” is the first single taken of their latest album “Just Like Fireworks”.

Ok maybe it is.

Over the last month we have given our website a bit of facelift. Please let us know what you like / don’t like as we are always looking to improve and make our site more enjoyable for you.

First notable difference is the addition of this blog (news feed), which we will start by updating once a month keeping you posted with anything “Skyline” related whether it be about certain jobs, specials, tips & tricks, etc… so make sure to check back.

Second change made was all our galleries. Some of the galleries still have photos / videos you might have seen on our old site but the navigation and ordering process should be a lot easier now.

Client vault has been updated with the aim to make the ordering process easier and more enjoyable.

Having said all of the above its time to spotlight a job from last month. After careful consideration we have decided to show you Izzy N The Profit’sRattle Ya Cage video shoot. The reason behind this is that we have both photo and video content for this job and we thought “what better way to test this site”. Not to mention that it is a really cool track.

The morning started like any other… with it’s challenges. We got up nice and early just to test all the equipment and load up before we headed out to face the storm which looked like it wasn’t going to ease up anytime soon.

Plan B? Shoot in the rain. A bit of water never hurt anybody, right?… we just had to make sure to take all the waterproof housing for the equipment.

When we got to Heartbreak Ridge Paintball the staff there told us that storms were forecasted all day. It was time to bring out the positive good vibes.

We waited on all the extras to arrive before we sat down for the safety briefing. 20 minutes later it was time for everyone to warm up and get into the spirit.

At this point we had a strange turn of events. We set up our first shot and practically as if someone was listening above “action” was called, the clouds opened up and the sun shone through.

We had a great day shooting only to have the sky close in on us during the final shot and for the storm to break out just as we were pulling out of the driveway to head back to our office.

For more photos of the shoot please click on the image included above or check out the final clip below.

Enjoy!
